introduction

Hello visitor, my name is Emily and I am based in Washington, DC (however I am a native of Chicago, hence the above banner shout out). I’m a graphic/web designer. Most of the skills and knowledge I have attained have been self-taught. Attending a near by university for a 4 year Art Studio and Graphic Design program. There, I learned about Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, typography, advertising, color theory, and much more.

Background

After graduating as a division 1 athlete/artist, I jumped into web design and began my first full time job with a small studio in Georgetown. Later down the road I was approached and found myself working for a number 2 PR Company in the DC area. Day by day surrounded by a multitude of creative challenges and a wide variety of people I continue to learn more about myself and my creative capabilities.

In my free time, I play around online, try to teach myself new things, stay physically active, try to keep myself in the loop of web trends. My main focus now is to design beautiful and usable CSS/web 2.0 websites because I understand how important it is for any website to be accessible ...thank you for visiting my site enjoy your stay!
